We kept track of everyone's scores for the 16 weeks of Women's Ladder and totaled the scores for each player. Then compared those actual scores against what was available to score.
Example:
12 weeks played. 12 x 33 = 396 possible. Actual: 355 Winning %: 90%

  • Players were sorted, within each skill level, by attendance percentage. The players with an attendance % of 75% & over are highlighted in green (12 or more weeks out of the 16 weeks).
  • Players within each skill level were then ranked by winning percentage.
  • Winning percentage is the percentage of total points earned compared to the total points available.
  • So if someone played 12 weeks, the max points available to earn is 396 (12 x 33).
  • If that player actually earned 355, then their winning percentage is 90%. (355/396).
  • Another stat is the 1st week's winning percentage compared to the total cumulative winning percentage for all weeks played. So if a player scored 33 out of 33 points in the 1st week they played, and then their total cumulative winning percentage for just the weeks they played is 90%, then they went from a 1st week % of 100% to a season % 0f 90%.
  • Using this calculation, the following increased their winning percentages the most in each skill category with attendance of 75% or more:
  •              Advanced: Chris Dodd - 21%
  •              Int Plus: Ann Pitre - 32%
  •              Int Minus: Jeannine Robinson - 19%
  •              Novice: Joyce Heinrich - 24%
  • Three women reached 100% attendance (16 out of 16)!!
  •              Pat Kenton
  •             Grace Buchanan
  •             Ann Pitre
Not being a statistician, I did not take into account all of the variables such as weeks missed because of sickness, injury, or starting after the new year. Also, could not track those weeks when maybe someone played in a box above or below their skill level due to absences. Also skills levels on the report were what I had for everyone at the beginning of the season.  I'm very well aware that this is not a scientific report that a true analyst would create, however at a minimum it still may be interesting to see how many points you scored versus what was available to score.
