pLAYER PROCEDURE AND ETIQUETTE
1. WINNERS OF A MATCH REMAIN ON THE COURT AND SPLIT TO PLAY THE NEXT TWO CHALLENGERS UNLESS THE PREVIOUS WINNERS CHOOSE NOT TO PLAY THE NEXT ROUND. MAXIMUM OF TWO CONSECUTIVE GAMES PER WINNER. *
2. CHALLENGERS CHOOSE THE COURT THEY WISH TO PLAY ON THEN PLACE THEIR PADDLES IN THE WIRE BASKET. EACH BASKET CAN HANDLE UP TO 4 PADDLES.
3. PROPER COURT ETIQUETTE AND SPORTSMANSHIP IS EXPECTED.
4. PROPER COURT ATTIRE AND SHOES ARE REQUIRED.
5. ON THE SERVE, THE BALL MUST CLEAR THE KITCHEN LINE COMPLETELY.
6. NORMALLY MAKE LINE CALLS ONLY ON YOUR SIDE OF THE COURT.
7. CALL “OUT” BALLS PROMPTLY.
8. GIVE THE BENEFIT OF DOUBT TO YOUR OPPONENTS.
9. IF YOU AND YOUR PARTNER DISAGREE, THE BALL IS “IN.
10. AN “OUT” CALL PRIOR TO THE PICKLEBALL BOUNCING WILL BE DEEMED PARTNER COMMUNICATION AND NOT A LINE CALL.
* THIS SYSTEM ALLOWS FOR A MINIMUM OF 32 PLAYERS GETTING A COURT WITHIN 15 MINUTES. IF THIS PROCESS IS FOLLOWED, IT WILL ALLOW 24 PLAYERS OR LESS A WAITING TIME OF NO MORE THAN 10 MINUTES.
